Motone Microblade Aluminum Windscreen MTE143 – Compact Wind Deflection with Classic Styling

Experience improved wind protection without compromising your Triumph’s clean café racer profile. The Motone Microblade Windscreen MTE143 delivers targeted airflow deflection to reduce helmet buffeting during daily commutes while maintaining the minimalist aesthetic that defines classic British motorcycles.

Key Features

  • CNC-Machined 5052 Aluminum Alloy → Marine-grade material provides superior corrosion resistance compared to acrylic alternatives, withstanding coastal salt air and road chemicals without cracking or yellowing
  • Microblade Compact Profile → Low-profile design deflects wind at chest level rather than creating full-body protection, preserving that naked bike riding experience while reducing fatigue on longer rides
  • Black Anodized Finish → Type II hard anodizing creates a durable matte black surface that integrates seamlessly with blacked-out builds or contrasts elegantly with polished components
  • Direct Headlight Bracket Mount → Bolts directly to factory headlight support brackets using included spacers and stainless hardware—no drilling or permanent modifications required
  • Lightweight Construction → Weighs only 0.5 lbs (230g), eliminating steering head flex issues common with heavier acrylic windscreens while maintaining structural rigidity

Installation Guide

  1. Verify your Triumph uses standard headlight bracket mounting (most Modern Classics and Classics do)
  2. Position the Microblade windscreen on the headlight brackets, aligning mounting holes
  3. Insert spacers between windscreen and brackets to achieve desired angle
  4. Install stainless bolts through windscreen, spacers, and brackets
  5. Tighten bolts evenly to 8-10 Nm torque to avoid cracking the aluminum
  6. Test ride at low speed to verify windscreen is secure without vibration

Wind Protection Philosophy

Unlike full touring windshields that create complete wind isolation, the Microblade targets the upper chest and lower helmet zone—the critical area where turbulence causes neck fatigue during highway riding. This approach preserves rider engagement with the road while reducing the physical strain that makes long rides uncomfortable. Ideal for daily commuters who tackle 30-60 minute highway stretches but still want to feel connected to their machine.

Maintenance

Clean with mild soap and water after wet rides to prevent water spot buildup. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may scratch the anodized finish. Inspect mounting bolts every 500 miles during initial break-in period, then quarterly thereafter to ensure continued security.

British Craftsmanship Guarantee

Designed and manufactured by Motone Customs in the UK, this windscreen reflects decades of British motorcycle heritage. Every component undergoes quality inspection to ensure it meets the rigorous standards expected by Triumph enthusiasts worldwide.
