RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY – SAIGON CLASSIC MOTORCYCLES CLUB (SCMC)
This Return & Exchange Policy explains how SCMC handles returns, exchanges, and refunds for online and in-store purchases of clothing, helmets, parts, and accessories.
1. General Policy
- By purchasing from SCMC, you agree to this Return & Exchange Policy in addition to our Terms & Conditions.
- This policy applies to retail customers purchasing through saigonclassic.com and at SCMC physical locations, unless otherwise stated.
- Returns and exchanges are only accepted for eligible products purchased directly from SCMC with valid proof of purchase (order confirmation, receipt, or invoice)
2. Eligibility & Timeframes
- Standard return and exchange window: 14 days from the date you receive your order (for online orders) or from the in-store purchase date.
- Items must be unused, unwashed, uninstalled, in original condition, and returned with all original tags, labels, manuals, accessories, and packaging.
- Items showing signs of wear, usage, installation marks, odor, damage, or missing packaging/components may be refused or accepted only with a partial refund or store credit.
3. Non-Returnable & Restricted Items
For safety, hygiene, and regulatory reasons, the following are non-returnable, except where required by law:
- Underwear, base layers, balaclavas, masks, socks, and in-ear products.
- Face shields/visors that have been unsealed or used.
- Electrical and electronic parts once installed, modified, or removed from their sealed packaging.
- Items clearly marked “Final Sale,” “Clearance,” or “Non‑Returnable” at the time of purchase.
- Gift cards, vouchers, and downloadable digital content.
If a non-returnable product is defective on arrival, the customer must contact SCMC within 48 hours so the team can review the case under warranty or applicable consumer protection rules.
4. Returns (Refunds)
- Eligible returns requested and received within the 14‑day window may be refunded once inspected and approved.
- Refunds are normally processed to the original payment method; if this is not possible, SCMC may issue store credit of equal value.
- Shipping fees, cash-on-delivery (COD) surcharges, and service charges (where applicable) are non-refundable unless SCMC shipped the wrong or a defective item.
- Refund processing time is up to 14 days after SCMC receives and verifies the returned goods.
SCMC reserves the right to:
- Deduct a reasonable restocking or refurbishment fee for items returned with damaged packaging or minor signs of handling.
- Reject returns that fall outside the stated timeframe or do not meet the conditions of this policy.
5. Exchanges
- Exchanges are offered for size, color, or like-for-like product changes on eligible items within 14 days.
- All exchange items must meet the same condition requirements as returns: new, unused, with full packaging and tags.
- If the requested item is unavailable, customers may choose another item of equal or higher value (paying any difference) or receive store credit.
- If the replacement item is lower in value, SCMC may issue store credit for the difference in accordance with internal policies.
6. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
- Customers should inspect orders immediately upon receipt and notify SCMC within 48 hours if an item is damaged in transit, defective, or not what was ordered.
- SCMC may request photos or video of the product, packaging, and shipping label for assessment.
- Once the issue is verified, SCMC will offer one of the following: repair, replacement, exchange, or refund, and may cover reasonable return shipping costs in these cases.
Damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper installation, or normal wear and tear is not considered a manufacturing defect.
7. How to Initiate a Return or Exchange
To request a return or exchange:
- Contact SCMC via the Contact page or official channels listed on saigonclassic.com, including the order number, contact details, and reason for return/exchange.
- Wait for confirmation and instructions, including the return address and any Return Authorization number (if required).
- Pack the item securely in original packaging with all components and a copy of the receipt or invoice.
- Ship the parcel using a trackable service or bring it in person to the designated SCMC location as instructed.
Returned goods remain the customer’s responsibility until they reach SCMC, so a tracked and insured shipping method is strongly recommended.
8. Shipping Costs & Responsibility
- For change-of-mind returns, wrong size ordered, or preference-based exchanges, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item to SCMC.
- Outbound shipping fees for replacement items may apply and will be communicated before dispatch.
- When SCMC is at fault (wrong item sent, confirmed defect, or shipping damage), SCMC may provide a prepaid label or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs according to internal guidelines.
9. In-Store Purchases
- In-store purchases follow the same general conditions but may be limited to exchanges or store credit depending on local practice and promotional conditions.
- Customers must present the original receipt and bring the product to the store where it was purchased, unless SCMC instructs otherwise.
10. Abuse of Policy
SCMC reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to limit or refuse returns and exchanges in cases of:
- Excessive or repeated return patterns inconsistent with normal consumer use.
- Evidence of product use followed by return attempts.
- Fraud, suspected theft, or policy misuse.
11. Policy Updates
SCMC may update this Return & Exchange Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes.
The latest version will always be published on saigonclassic.com and applies from the date it is posted.
