Installation Guide

  1. Remove OEM Clutch Badge: Unscrew factory mounting bolts from left-side clutch cover using appropriate hex or Torx socket
  2. Clean Mounting Surface: Wipe clutch cover surface with degreaser to remove oil residue and ensure proper badge seating
  3. Align MMU037 Badge: Position Motone badge over mounting holes ensuring proper orientation with ribs vertical
  4. Install Factory Hardware: Thread OEM bolts through badge into clutch cover mounting points by hand
  5. Torque Mounting Bolts: Gradually tighten bolts in cross pattern to 8-10 Nm (avoid overtightening aluminum threads)
  6. Verify Badge Seating: Check that badge sits flush against clutch cover with no gaps or movement

Why Choose Billet Over Die-Cast?

CNC-machined billet aluminum offers superior material consistency compared to die-cast alternatives. The 6061-T6 billet construction provides better fatigue resistance for long-term mounting security, while the ribbed profile adds structural rigidity that prevents flexing under vibration. Unlike plastic badges or thin stamped covers, the MMU037’s solid aluminum construction handles engine heat cycles and road debris without warping or discoloration.

Maintenance

Clean badge with damp microfiber cloth during routine washing. Avoid abrasive cleaners or wire brushes that may scratch matte anodized finish. Periodically check mounting bolt torque after first 500 miles and again at oil change intervals. If badge shows oil seepage around edges, verify clutch cover gasket integrity and retorque mounting hardware to specification.

British Craftsmanship

Designed and manufactured by Motone in Britain specifically for modern Triumph motorcycles. Each badge undergoes multi-stage CNC machining followed by controlled anodizing process to ensure consistent matte black finish and precise fitment.
